Lake Velence (HUN), 15 September 2019. Only two weeks after the closing ceremony of the 2019 World Rowing Championships, the Organising Committee receives again the FISA flag.
"Using the school grading system, I believe that the 2019 World Rowing Championships have deserved an A+. The feedback we have received is almost entirely positive. Our regatta course is very unique, the TV images were just amazing," summarises Horst Anselm, president of the Upper Austrian Rowing Federation after a very successful event. However, mentally he is probably already in 2020, as the next event in Linz-Ottensheim is coming closer.
From 2-6 September the 2020 World Rowing Masters Regatta will challenge the Organising Committee in a different way. The World Rowing Masters Regatta – inofficially also known as “Masters World Championships” – is an international competition for the age class 27+ and the biggest FISA rowing regatta. The 2017 World Rowing Masters Regatta in Bled (SLO) has shown record participation numbers of 4700 athletes in 905 races with a time interval of 3 minutes.
